Eminem’s ‘STANS’ Documentary Is Hitting Theaters for One Weekend Only

Eminem's STANS

Eminem’s STANS arrives in U.S. theaters on August 7. The Steven Leckart-directed film will screen in over 135 AMC locations through August 10 for one weekend only. Tickets are on sale now alongside pre-orders for the soundtrack, which features previously unreleased music.

Eminem’s STANS premiered at the inaugural SXSW London Screen Festival in June, earning strong critical acclaim. The film dives into Eminem’s nearly 30-year career through the eyes of his most devoted fans. It explores how his music shaped their lives and fueled modern fandom culture.

The documentary’s trailer shows images from Eminem’s career while fans ask him questions about family, fame, and music. It ends with Eminem sitting down for an interview, calmly asking, “What’s your first question?”

The film draws inspiration from his 2000 hit single “Stan,” produced by 45 King. The track peaked at No. 51 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has surpassed 1 billion streams on Spotify. “Stan” has since become a term for obsessive fans and was added to the Merriam-Webster dictionary in 2019.

Global fans can watch STANS starting August 7 as Trafalgar Releasing rolls out the film in more than 50 territories and 1,600 theaters worldwide. International tickets will be available from July 24.

Eminem officially announced the documentary in 2024 when he called on his most dedicated fans to participate. The film is produced by Shady Films, DIGA Studios, Fuqua Films, and MTV Entertainment Studios.

With STANS, Eminem offers an unfiltered look into the culture he helped define and the superfans who kept him at the top.
