Alison Wonderland Announces Deeply Personal Album Ghost World, Due October 3

Alison Wonderland will release her fourth studio album, Ghost World, on October 3. The project follows 2022’s Loner, 2018’s Awake, and her 2015 breakout Run—the last two of which topped Billboard’s Top Dance Albums chart.

Unlike her previous releases, Wonderland says Ghost World builds an entirely new universe. “I was starting to really doubt where I exist in this life,” she told Billboard. Instead of reflecting her past, the album creates space for others who also feel lost.

She’s releasing it now because, in her words, “my soul feels it.” There was no marketing plan—just instinct.

So far, Wonderland has dropped two singles: “Again? F–k.” and “Get Started.” The third, “iwannaliveinadream,” arrives Friday (August 1). The track blends psychedelic textures with future bass energy, signaling a shift in sonic direction.

Ghost World is also Wonderland’s first full-length album since becoming a mother in June 2023. She says life changes—including marriage and motherhood—directly shaped her new sound and process.

“I got rid of all the outside voices,” she said. “I felt like I was letting people dictate my art.” To reclaim control, she A&R’d the project herself and collaborated only with a trusted inner circle.

The title Ghost World reflects Wonderland’s sense of not fitting in—within the industry or society. She hopes to offer a refuge through this project: “I want to create a universe where everyone can feel like they belong.”

Wonderland is also developing a new live show around the album. A full tour with fresh production is in the works, with dates and cities to be announced soon.

With Ghost World, Alison Wonderland invites fans into her most authentic world yet—one built on emotion, transformation, and radical imagination.
